~1~ Prepare,prepare,prepare.The absolute best defense against anxiety is knowledge.Know your subject inside and out.
~2~ Visualize yourself if doing good job.See everything going right and people applauding your excellent presentation.
~3~ Don't be afraid to say 'I don't know.'(make a note of the question and tell the person that you'll get back him with an answer)
~4~ Don't be too critical of yourself.Give yourself a break.Ask somebody (expert in presentation) to evaluate your presentation and list of the areas you need to work on as well as note the thing you do well.
~5~ Vow to talk 'with' your audience,not down to them.The information you're trying to convey should hold the audience interest,not yours.
~6~ Listen carefully when you're ask the question and never cut off the person.Decide on an answer and be brief.If you don't agree with a point,find a part upon which you can agree.
~7~ Remember that people want you to succeed.Have fun.You'll survive it,and the gains are certainly worth the effort.
