Cataract

As you age,the lens in your eye gradually cloudy,resulting in aloss of transparency and reduced vision.

Symptoms

# Blurring or clouding of vision

# Difficulty reading small print

# Sensitivity to bright light

# Poor night vision

# Less vivid perception of color

Treatment

Surgery is the only option for improving vision.The cloudy kens is removed and replaced with a clear,artificial lens.

There are two types of cataract surgery:

* Phacoemulsification or phaco (often called "laser" surgery)

* Extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE)
