5.Managing council's evaluation committee meeting and interview

6.Managing election for the elected members of the MOC

7.Managing appointment of members of the MOC

8.Managing MOC disciplinary proceeding

9.Enforcement of the Optical Act 1991

10.To regulate the practice of optometry in this country through the implementation of all provisions under the Optical Act 1991
and Optical Regulations 1994.

11.Beside that the Act and Regulation an optometry practitioner in Malaysia is expected to adhere to the Code of Practice with the general aims of promoting high standards of professional conduct and continuing education.

MOC IS A CORPORATE BODY ......which may sue and be sued in its namae.
