The Prophet Muhammad

The Prophet Muhammad was born at Makkah the chief town of Arabia in the year 570 A.D.His father,Abdullah, who belonged to a noble family of Hashimites, died before he was born.

In his early years, the Prophet Muhammad was not free from the cares of life: he had to watch the flocks of his uncle,Abu Talib, who, like the rest of the Hasimites, had lost the greater part of his riches.

The lawlessness, the state of life among the Meccans, the sudden outbursts of causeless and sanguinary quarrels among the tribes frequenting the fair of Okadh (the Arabian Olympia),the immorality of scepticism of the Quraishites, naturally of the sensitive youth.

The Prophet Muhammad received the divine command of Prophethood at the age of forty and the first revelation was delivered to him at the age of forty.

As soon as he started preaching Islam,he and his followers were persecuted and he had to face severe hardship. He was, therefore after 13 years in Makkah, commanded by Allah to migrate to Medina, another city in Arabia, after having born presecution for 13 years.

During a short span of 23 years,he completed his mission of prophethood and died at the age of 63.He was put to rest in the city of Medina.

He left no wealth or property but left an abundant wealth of good examples FOR ALL HUMAN BEINGS TO FOLLOW.
